Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt – Bahrain intra-trade jumped by 20% to $384 million in 2015 against $120 million a year earlier, said Khalled Abdulrahman Al-Moayed, Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In his speech at the Bahraini-Egyptian business forum in Cairo, the chairman added that the uptrend of bilateral trade confirms Bahraini businessmen’s willingness to spread more investments in Egypt that presently stand at $1.7 billion approximately.
According to data by Egypt’s General Authority for Investment, investments injected by Bahraini businessmen since 1970 are estimated at $2.66 billion.
The forum is held on Bahraini King Hamad’s four-day visit to Egypt during 25-28 of April.
