Cairo – Mubasher: The iron and steel exports in Egypt have declined by 7.4% during January 2018 compared to the same month in 2017, according to a recent report by the Export Council Building Materials.
Egypt’s iron and steel exports totalled $50 million in January this year compared to $54 million, the report said, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).
Egypt has import iron and steel to 35 countries of which seven countries have imported from Egypt for the first time, namely Madagascar, Ukraine, Oman, Singapore, and Malaysia.
It is noteworthy that steel factories in Egypt recently announced a new increase in prices with an average of EGP 200 per tonne, the MENA added.
