Egypt’s local liquidity rises to EGP 4.05trln at end-November

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s local liquidity increased by 13.2% year-on-year to EGP 4.05 trillion at the end of November 2019, compared to EGP 3.58 trillion.

Month-on-month, the North African nation’s domestic liquidity inched up during the month from EGP 4.02 trillion at the end of October, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Meanwhile, the money supply amounted to EGP 961.1 billion at the end of last November, compared to EGP 827.6 billion in the same month a year earlier.

At the end of the eleventh month of 2019, Egypt’s foreign reserves rose by $2.8 billion year-on-year to $45.35 billion from $42.55 billion.
