Cairo – Mubasher: Local liquidity in Egypt continued its upward trend, rising by 2.21% or EGP 89 billion month-on-month (MoM) in March.
Egypt’s domestic liquidity amounted to EGP 4.276 trillion last month, hitting an all-time record high, compared to EGP 4.187 trillion in February, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
Year-on-year (YoY), local liquidity increased by 15% from EGP 3.72 billion in March 2019.
The money supply rose to EGP 1.03 trillion in March, compared to EGP 1.004 trillion a month earlier.
