Cairo-Mubasher: The Egyptian finance ministry said on Friday it has finalised the project proposal of the value-added tax (VAT) bill, which will be referred to the parliament for discussion before applying it.
The ministry has made a list of 52 goods and services which will be excluded from the VAT bill. The list will include raw materials as petroleum, natural gas, and natural materials from mines and quarries.
The new VAT bill will replace the existing sales tax, subject to the parliament’s approval.
