Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, announced that the trial operation of the electric train connecting El-Salam with the New Administrative Capital and 10th of Ramadan City is scheduled to be in August 2021.
It is projected to stat operation in October 2021 with the inauguration of the New Administrative Capital, El-Wazir said in a statement on Sunday.
The transport ministry is currently implementing a plan to upgrade and develop the means of transport in the country. The plan includes the construction of two Monorails for the New Administrative Capital and 6th of October City with total lengths of 98.5 kilometres (km) and the establishment of the light rail transit from Ain Sokhna to New Alamein City with a length of 438.5 km.
