Cairo - Mubasher: President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has called for Egypt's new parliament to convene on 10 January.
The new parliament comprises 568 members, that have been elected over two phases.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has appointed 28 members by himself.
The new parliament came three years after; the country's first elected parliament was dissolved.
Egypt's last parliament was elected in 2011-12 in its first free election, following a popular uprising that ended autocrat Hosni Mubarak's 30-year presidency.
