Egypt’s non-oil exports rise to $1.7bn in August – GOEIC

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian non-oil exports went up 4.6% year-on-year in August 2019, according to data released by the General Organization for Import and Export Control (GOEIC).

Year-on-year, the North African nation’s exports increased to $1.694 billion in August from $1.619 billion.

Meanwhile, the exports of the Food Export Council amounted to $197 million, while the Export Council of Engineering and Electric Products as well as the Agriculture Export Council recorded exports of $178 million and $77 million, respectively, GOEIC remarked.

Additionally, the exports of the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractories and Metallurgy Industries (ECBM) totaled $383 million, followed by the Ready Made Garments Export Council with $130 million, and the Egyptian Export Council for Printing, Packaging, Paper, and Literary and Artistic Works with $1.49 million.
