Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian parliament's electricity committee approved a loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) of $243 million (EGP 2.149 billion).
The loan’s interest is 0.3% and will be paid over 30 years with 10 years grace period.
The loan would be directed towards improving the performance of three companies of electricity distribution.
Earlier, the parliament's economic committee approved a loan of $30 million (EGP 265.4 million) from China to finance development projects.
