Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s petroleum sector succeeded in implementing seven projects with investments worth of $7.5 billion, said Petroleum Minister Tarek El-Molla according to an official press release.
The seven projects are spread across the governorates of Suez, Port Said, Damietta and Alexandria.
Such projects come in the framework of the national petrochemical plan set earlier by the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) that targets revenues of $3 billion.
The production capacity of these projects amounts to 5 million tons of petrochemical products, in order to meet the needs of the local market.
