Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt kept the pound exchange rate unchanged against the U.S. dollar at 7.73.
The central bank sold $39.4 million to banks. It had offered $40 million.
The bank said in early December it paid all backlog to foreign investors, which amounted to $547.2 million.
