Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s President, Abdel Fatah El-Sisi inaugurated some projects in Ismailia which one of them is Suez Canal bridges' project.
Suez Canal bridges’ project linked the long traffic axes in east and west of Suez Canal to serve the development areas in Sinai, Middle East News Agency reported, citing Major General Ahmed Fouda Assistant Chairman of Armed Forces Engineering authority as saying.
Selecting the bridges’ location in north of Ismailia aims to link Al Salloum and Jgbob cities in east with Ouja in east.
In south of Port Said, there will be another project for tunnels to provide a traffic axis that will start from Sallum until Rafah, Fouda added.
Fouda noted that Armed Forces’ Engineering authority signed contracts with four domestic firms to implement these projects.
Petrojet and Concord Engineering & Contracting will implement Ismailia’s project, while The Arab Contractors and Orascom Construction Industries will carry out Port Said’s project.
Four drilling machines were purchased from Germany-based Herrenknecht AG with all equipment for carrying out the projects.
