Egypt's private university investments to hit EGP 10bn in FY17/18

Cairo – Mubasher: Total investments of private universities in Egypt are expected to reach EGP 10 billion in fiscal year 2017/2018, Alborsa News reported, citing higher education minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

The ministry is planning to offer investors the areas which sorely need private universities, Abdel Ghaffar said.

At least three new licences to establish private universities should be granted prior to the end of June 2018, he added.

Last week,  Abdel Ghaffar highlighted that the ministry is seeking to lure EGP 35 billion investments to build private and public universities.
