Egypt's railways to see EGP 51.5bn development - Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Transport is currently developing railway projects at a total value of EGP 51.5 billion, MENA reported, citing Egypt’s transport minister Hisham Arafat as saying.

These projects aim at developing the whole railway system to provide passengers with a better service, Arafat added during his visit to Kom Ombo railway station in the Upper Egypt governorate of Aswan.

In November 2017, the minister said that railway facilities will be upgraded at an estimated cost of about EGP 50 billion until 2022.
