Cairo – Mubasher: The average price of reinforced steel rose in December by 4.4% year-on-year and 2% month-on-month, data released by Egypt’s Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities showed.
The average price per tonne registered EGP 12,500 in December from EGP 11,970 a year ago, and compared to EGP 12,250 per tonne in November, the data indicated.
The highest price logged in 2018, however, was in March at EGP 12,500 per tonne.
In January and February the average price was EGP 11,970 per tonne, while in the period between April and August, the average price per tonne for reinforcing steel was EGP 12,530, and between October and December the average was EPG 12,250, according to the report.
