Cairo – Mubasher: The number of tourist visiting Egypt fell 46.3% year-on-year in January, according to the state-run statistics body.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said the number of arriving tourists from all over the world reached 363,500 during January compared to 677,000 during January 2015, a decrease by 46.3%, due to the decline in tourists from Russian.
The number of departing tourists reached 414,100 during January 2016 compared to 740,900 during January 2015, a decrease by 44.1%.
Meanwhile, the number of arriving tourists from Arab countries reached 123,700 during January compared to 128,800 during the same month in 2015.
