Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s trade balance deficit declined in July 13.1% year-on-year to EGP 30.8 billion from EGP 35.6 billion, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Export value rose by 15.5% to EGP 15.6 billion during July 2016, compared with EGP 13.3 billion for year-ago month.
Meanwhile, import value saw a 5.3% slide to stand at EGP 46.3 billion in July 2016 as compared to EGP 49 billion for July 2015.
In June 2016, trade balance deficit fell 15.7% year-over-year to EGP 29.7 billion from EGP 35.2 billion.
Earlier, the head of Customs Authority, Magdy Abdel-Aziz, said trade deficit in the first half of 2015/16 edged down 1% year-over-year from $27.7 billion to $27.5 billion,
