Egypt’s trade exchange with Belarus grows 43.5% in 9M

Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and Belarus grew by 43.5% during the first nine months of 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

The volume of the North African nation’s trade with Belarus amounted to $107.5 million in the nine months to September, compared with $75 million over the same months last year, industry and trade minister Amr Nassar said.

Farm products, medicines, textiles, ready-made clothing were among the key exports to Belarus, while Egypt imported iron and steel, machinery, and fertilisers from the Eastern European country, Nassar added.

The minister’s statements came during talks with a delegation led by his Belarusian counterpart Pavel Utiupin.
