Egypt’s unemployment hits 9.9% in 2018

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s unemployment rate declined to 9.9% year-on-year during 2018, prime minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Wednesday.

Unemployment in the North African country reached 8.9% in the fourth quarter of 2018, Madbouly added.

The prime minister noted that the decline in both unemployment and inflation rates is an indication of the success of Egypt’s economic reform.
