Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s strategic wheat reserves are sufficient to meet local consumption needs until the beginning of the harvest season in the second half of April 2018, said the supply and internal trading spokesman Mamdouh Ramadan.
Earlier this month, the ministry noted that Egypt had wheat reserves totalling 3.4 million tonnes, Reuters reported on Sunday.
The supply ministry is planning to import seven million tonnes of wheat during fiscal year 2017/2018.
