Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said that his country has secured 60% of the required $6 billion to obtain the loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the PM said in a press conference on Tuesday.
Earlier, the IMF asked Egypt to secure finances worth $6 billion to get the loan which the was initially approved by the international organisation.
This means that the Egyptian government has secured around $3.6 billion.
The finance minister told CBC TV in an interview that the remaining required funds might be obtained within one or two weeks, he also said that the IMF will take the final decision concerning the loan in October.
