Egypt seeks EUR 27m financing to counter illegal immigration

Cairo – Mubasher: The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) is seeking to obtain an EUR 27 million grant from the European Union (EU), the authority’s head of human and social development sector said.

This financing will be directed to combat illegal immigration and raise awareness among youth, Medhat Massoud told Mubasher.

The Egyptian government has set a full-fledged plan to raise awareness of the risks of illegal immigration among youth and families across the governorates in a bid to limit this phenomenon.
