Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Egypt has resorted to international markets for meeting its oil needs based on the offered quotes, Petroleum Minister Tarek Al-Molla told Mubasher on Tuesday.
Earlier, Reuters reported that the minister paid a visit to Iran to meet several senior Iranian officials to discuss the possibility of managing oil supplies from Tehran.
The minister declined to make any statements over reports indicating that he visited Iran Sunday to have new oil deals.
Egypt’s Petroleum Minister Tarek Al-Molla has traveled to the UAE for attending the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).
But Al-Molla told Mubasher yesterday that “Reports about Egypt’s attempts to secure oil supplies from Tehran are incorrect”.
