Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism aspires to attract 150,000 Saudi visitors in three months, said Tourism Minister Mohamed Yehia Rashed.
In a statement, he added that the ministry has settled an agreement with Air Leisure, an Egyptian airline operating charter flights, for organizing three flights from Saudi Arabia to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada for three months.
“This plan, if succeeded and positively assessed, will be expanded to include more countries like Kuwait, Jordan, and Lebanon”, the minister continued, declaring that flights from Saudi lands will be set out directly before Eid Al-Fitr
Egypt welcomed 834,600 tourists in March, up 10.6% year-on-year, according to the government statistics body CAPMAS.
Earlier, the minister stated that Egypt targets to receive 10 million tourist arrivals by the end of 2017.
