Egypt seeks to raise agricultural exports by 5% in 2 yrs

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt plans to accelerate the growth rate of agricultural exports by 5% during fiscal years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, the country’s ministry of planning, monitoring, and administrative reform said.

The North African nation aims to develop agricultural lands, support the competitiveness of agricultural exports in the international markets, and improve small-and medium-sizes enterprises (SMEs) in the agricultural sector, the planning ministry added in a statement on Thursday.

Total public investments allocated for the agriculture ministry reached EGP 1.545 billion under the country’s plan for FY19/20.
