Egypt seeks to raise exports of agricultural crops to 80%

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt seeks to increase its exports of agricultural crops to range account for 70% to 80% of the country’s total exports, said Essam Fayed, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The country’s exports of agriculture products stood at 4.5 million tons in 2015.

Earlier, Egypt’s trade minister stated that the country’s imports slowed down by $7 billion since the beginning of the current year, while exports increased by $1 billion.
