Cairo – Mubasher: A multi-purpose terminal (for containers and non-containerised cargo) is being constructed at Safaga Maritime Port, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.
The terminal will have a capacity of 500,000 containers annually up to 3 million containers and receive non-containerised cargo weighing 7 million tonnes, the general manager of Safaga Port, Yasser Rashed, said.
This came during a field tour organised by the parliament’s transportation committee to several national projects in the Red Sea governorate.
