Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of health, Hala Zaid, has announced the creation of sustainability fund for the intervention system and critical surgeries.
The government is working on making surgeries waiting lists obsolete, Zaid said, added that the health ministry has held 80,000 surgeries under the Waiting Lists Initiative.
As for President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s ‘100 Healthy Lives' Initiative, the minister stated that 50% of people targeted in the second phase of the initiative (13.5 million) were checked.
