Cairo – Mubasher: The Ministry of Finance is waiting for the court ruling in the tax evasion case of Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) regarding the tax dispute over the 2007 sale of a subsidiary to the French Lafarge.
The report of the state commissioners released on Sunday supported Egyptian Tax Authority’s (ETA) stance in the case, the deputy finance minister for tax studies, Amr Al Monier, told Mubasher on the sidelines of the Euromoney 2016 conference.
The tax dispute pertains to OCI's sale of one of its subsidiaries to Lafarge in 2007 for $12 billion.
