Cairo-Mubasher: The Egyptian government targets economic growth of 5-5.5% during the current fiscal year, said Minister of Planning Ashraf Al-Arabi.
He added that this is a major challenge amid the current conditions.
The economic growth continued accelerating to reach 4.5% during the fourth quarter of 2014/2015, compared with nearly 3.8% at the same period a year ago, Al-Arabi said.
The economic growth was driven by the reforms made by the government, in addition to the incentive plans through injecting mega investments into the infrastructure projects.
The economic growth reached 4.2% during the last fiscal year, compared with around 2.2% in 2013/2014.
