Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s minister of finance Amr El-Garhy said Sunday that tax returns have increased by 40% during the current tax season.
Tax returns amounted to EGP 21.3 billion this season, compared to EGP 15.22 billion in the previous season, El-Garhy added in a press conference.
The tax season starts on 1 January every year and ends on 31 March for natural persons and on 30 April for legal persons and companies.
The minister noted that the tax return from sovereign entities reached EGP 291.13 billion in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.
