Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Cabinet endorsed two contracts with Chinese companies to produce electricity using coal, at a capacity of more than 4000 MW.
China’s Dongfang Electric Corporation will build a 1980MW power plant, while Shanghai Electric offered to build four power plants with a combined production capacity of 2400MW.
