Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt is currently reviewing the layout of a road connecting between New Borg El-Arab City and Alexandria-Matrouh Coastal Road at an estimated cost of EGP 500 million.
The eight-kilometre road will include three bridges linking New Borg El-Arab with the Northwestern Coast, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Assem El-Gazzar, said in a statement on Tuesday.
The new layout contains expanding the road to seven lanes, including three service lanes and four main lanes in each direction, as well as installing high mast lighting.
New Borg El-Arab City, one of the first generation cities, covers an area of about 47,000 feddans, including 30,000 feddans of an urban area.
