Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's minister of transport announced plans to upgrade the railroad between Abu Qir and the Alexandria train station.
The Abu Qir-Alexandria line will be developed into an electric train line, Kamel El-Wazir said in a statement on Sunday.
This step came as part of the ministry’s plans to develop the transport infrastructure, El-Wazir added, noting that Abu Qir-Alexandria line serves a large number of passengers every day.
