Egypt to deliver natural gas to New Valley

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has taken the first step to implement a project for delivering natural gas to the New Valley governorate using compressed natural gas (CNG) technology, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, said.

This move is in line with the directives of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to expand in natural gas projects to be accessible to more households across all governorates, El-Molla added in a statement on Monday.

The first phase includes delivering natural gas to 14,000 households in El-Kharga city in the New Valley, the country’s largest governorate.

Using CNG technology is the optimal solution to deliver natural gas to the spacious governorate in the light of the current difficulties of linking it to the national grid, he noted.
