Egypt to get $366m loan from Japan’s JICA

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has issued a presidential decree No.565 for 2017 approving loans of JPY 41 billion and JPY 98 million ($365.7 million) from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

This loan will be used to develop and enhance the electricity sector in Egypt, according to the official gazette on Thursday.

Earlier this month, El-Sisi issued a presidential decree No.281 for 2017 approving a JPY 10.19 billion ($88.63 million) loan from the JICA to develop the education and healthcare sectors in Egypt.
