Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will raise an amount of $4 billion from the international bonds recently issued by the Ministry of Finance, Ahmed Kojak, deputy finance minister for monetary policy, said on Sunday.
The amount will be used to finance the funding gap, Kojak told Mubasher.
Egypt’s funding gap is estimated at $34 billion over the coming three fiscal years starting from 2016/17 until 2018/19, compared to previous estimates of $30 billion.
