Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation has started implementing procedures to introduce credit card payment option for metro fares.
The new scheme will be available along with smart cards charged automatically from ticket vending machines (TVM) and single-ride tickets bought from ticket windows, according to a statement on Wednesday.
This move is part of efforts to provide metro passengers with easier payment methods and reduce crowding at ticket windows.
