Egypt to invest EGP 4.1bn in New Assiut

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian prime minister on Thursday said that total investments in the New Assiut City reached EGP 4.1 billion, including nearly EGP 247 million in fiscal year 2018/2019.

Almost 470 housing buildings were built with 11,280 units at a combined cost of EGP 1.4 billion, and other 27 residential buildings with 648 units are currently being executed, Mostafa Madbuli, who doubles as the housing minister, announced in a statement.

New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) invested EGP 33.5 billion in 11 months last year.

Walid Abbas, assistant to the housing minister for urban community affairs, previously said that NUCA had allocated EGP 56 billion for investments in FY18/19.
