Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is planning to offer Eurobonds worth around $5 billion for sale early 2019, finance minister Mohamed Maait told Enterprises.
A government source previously said that the North African nation was looking to issue Eurobonds worth $20 billion until 2022.
In January 2017, former finance minister Amr El Garhy stated that the government was planning to issue the Japanese Samurai-bonds and the Chinese panda-bonds.
In September, Maait called for reviving this plan, revealing that the ministry seeks to issue renminbi-denominated bonds and yen-denominated bonds.
