Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government will launch the first sovereign wealth fund within weeks to manage government assets.
The justice ministry is on the verge of completing a draft bill prepared by the planning ministry to establish the fund, sources told Al Masry Al Youm.
The bill will be submitted to the parliament for review and discussion, sources added.
The new fund will be managed by three ministries, namely: the ministries of planning, investment, and business sector, sources highlighted, noting that the selection of executive leaders for the fund is currently under discussion.
