Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co (EGAS) is planning to launch gas exploration and production tenders for 11 onshore and offshore areas ahead of June 2018, Shorouk News reported, citing a top official at EGAS.
In December 2017, EGAS announced that it was aiming at adding 400 kilometres to the national gas grid over the coming period in a bid to meet the spiraling gas demand.
Egypt is expected to boost natural gas production by a billion cubic feet per day (Bcfd) to reach 6.2 Bcfd by the end of fiscal year 2017/2018.
