Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is planning to lift subsidies on 95-Octane gasoline as of April, which will result in pricing it according to the international market.
Consequently, 95-Octane gasoline’s price will move 10% up or down, under the decision of a quarterly meeting of The Pricing Committee, the Cabinet spokesperson Nader Saad added during a phone interview with MBC Egypt.
The government did not set a date for the moving of other types of gasoline, Saad noted.
Egypt is lifting fuel subsidies as a part of an economic reform programme devised to receive a $12 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
