Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of trade and industry said that Egypt is willing to provide all the means of support to German companies in order to expand and raise their investments in Egypt.
Tarek Kabil added during his meeting with the German secretary of state at the economy ministry Uwe Beckmeyer that German investments in the Egyptian market are yet to reach their full potential to match the available opportunities in Egypt, as well as the capacities of German companies.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to Germany to participate in the G20 summit.
Kabil also called for enhancing the Egyptian-German cooperation in manufacturing car components and information technology, noting that there are also investment opportunities in the country’s national mega projects such as the Golden Triangle and the New Administrative Capital.
Trade exchange between the two countries reached EUR 5.56 billion ($5.89 billion) in 2016, increasing by 10% compared to 2015.
The minister also stressed the importance of making the best use of German expertise in training Egyptian calibres to keep up with the developments in the industrial sector.
