Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government is planning to pay EGP 1.336 trillion ($80.85 billion) to social insurance funds under Law No. 148 of 2019 during the coming seven years, finance minister Mohamed Maait stated on Wednesday.
Within the next five decades, Egypt’s public treasury will pay EGP 45 trillion ($2.72 trillion) in subsidies to social insurance funds, Maait added.
The minister revealed that an amount of EGP 160.5 billion will be transferred from the public treasury to these funds by the end of the fiscal year 2019/2020.
