Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Canal investment certificates will mature on 4 September, head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Mohab Mamsih said during a press conference on Tuesday.
In September 2014, Suez Canal investment certificates were issued by banks with a maturity period of five years and a 12% interest rate.
In November 2016, Egypt's Ministry of Finance (MoF) raised interest rates on Suez Canal investment certificates to 15.5% from 12%.
