Egypt to receive $1bn from World Bank end-2017

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is expected to receive the third tranche worth $1 billion of the World Bank loan around December, Hafez Ghanem, the vice president of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa, told Enterprise on Thursday.

Ghanem noted that the final date for the disburse will be confirmed in September, adding that he will be visiting Egypt with a World Bank delegation at the end of next week to meet government officials.

Egypt had earlier received two tranches from the $3 billion World Bank loan.
