Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government will issue a decision to reduce the number of employees of state-run bodies within the coming hours, the country’s prime minister Mostafa Madbouly said.
This decision is in line with the government’s efforts to encourage social distancing in a bid to curb the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), Madbouly remarked in press conference on Monday.
The most populous nation also suspended schools and universities for two weeks and halted all flights until the end of March amid rising concerns over the new virus.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Egypt reached 126, including two deaths and 26 recoveries.
