Egypt to reevaluate investment cost of PPP projects

Cairo – Mubahser: The Egyptian government will reevaluate the investment cost of the public–private partnership projects (PPP) after the recent flotation of the Egyptian pound, a source close to the matter told Mubasher.

“The changes in the US dollar for custom tariffs after the recent EGP flotation will effect the prices of the exported constitutes of these projects,” added the source on the sideline of economic conference.

The government currently works on finishing the studies related to PPP projects in order to offer them to the investors, noted the source.

“The government may offer Safaga Metallurgical Port project to investors by March or April 2017,” said the source.
