Egypt to reopen airports for int'l flights on 1 July

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will reopen all its airports for international flights by the beginning of July, civil aviation minister Mohamed Manar said in a press conference on Sunday, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

Foreign tourists will be allowed in three governorates only - the Red Sea, South Sinai, and Matrouh as announced before.

Since 1 June, Egyptian hotels have been allowed to operate at a capacity of 50%, after reopening for local guests at a 25% capacity during May.

It is noteworthy to mention that the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Egypt reached 44,598 after the Ministry of Health reported 1,618 new cases on Sunday. The death toll amounted to 1,575, while the number of recoveries totalled 11,931.
